Steven A. Schultz joined Kreatek, Inc in January 2010 as President and Co-CEO.  He is responsible for developing a strategic plan to advance the company's objectives and to ensure revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. He is also tasked with overseeing company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Mr. Schultz started his career as a sales representative in Atlanta, Georgia for Minnesota Life, (St Paul, Minnesota), selling group insurance products to financial institutions for use by their customers.  He was named Representative of the Year and Runner Up Representative Year by Minnesota Life in his first two years, and qualifying for the top sales awards in each of his years in sales.  He then was promoted to Director of Sales overseeing the development of new sales representatives.

Later he was recruited by Protective Life Insurance Company, (Birmingham, Alabama), as Vice President, Financial Institution Insurance Division.  After a few years he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Asset Protection Division.  He was responsible for the profit and loss and growth of this Division.  Under his leadership, this Protective Life division grew from $25 million a year in revenue to over $520 million a year in revenue.  It also grew from less than $1 million in pretax profit to almost $35 million during the same period.  This growth in revenue and profits, were helped by the 9 acquisitions of companies and/or blocks of business completed by this Division under Mr. Schultz’s direction.  The Division was composed of several satellite offices around the country and over 450 employees.

After his successful tenure at Protective Life, Mr. Schultz became the Chief Operating Officer of the second largest nonprofit in Birmingham.  It was an opportunity for him to give back to the community and share in a larger purpose outside of business.  He was able to bring his skills to this entity for a few years before moving on to become the COO of a real estate company.  In each of these places, Mr. Schultz had the opportunity to use skills in strategic planning, focusing on results and the ability to motivate others.
