Kreatek Attends Small and Minority Business Summit
July 22, 2005 Gardendale, AL – July 22, 2005 – Kreatek, a leading provider of Data Integration Services, was one of 75 firms invited to attend EPA’s Region 4 Small and Disadvantaged Business Summit in Atlanta Georgia. Steve Johnson, EPA’s Administrator, set the precedence of the meetings by stating President Bush’s agenda to reduce the federal government’s work force and outsource opportunities to the nation’s small and disadvantaged businesses. George Barckley, President and CEO of Kreatek, stated that the passion to promote small business was overwhelming by all Federal Agencies represented. In attendance were representatives from the EPA, SBA and VA. “Their was pleading from each agency to those who attended to spread the word that there is opportunity from many areas within the Federal Government” says Barckley “from dirt management to scientific services each group has missed their performance marks several quarters in a row and is pushing to solicit more small businesses to step up and grow their business”.
